Character error

During Danny's training, Irving says "There is a concept called Wushu, translated from the Japanese: no mind". Wushu is in fact not Japanese, it is Chinese and it simply means 'Martial Arts'.

Factual errors

The Japanese term he meant is used in martial arts and Zazen meditative practice, it is Mu-Shin. This is 'no mind' state.

Spoilers

The goof item below may give away important plot points.

Anachronisms

At the end of the movie when Danny finds the money in the heavy bag at Irving's gym, some of the bills that come out of the bag are the "new" $20 bills that were recently introduced into circulation. Irving had been in prison for at least 10 years, so it would have been impossible for the new money to have been stashed there. The bills inside would have been the older versions.
