Joonas Makkonen wrote the very first version of this movie's script as a assignment, when he was trying to get in the boards in Tampere University of Applied Sciences in spring 2008. There were many assignments, and in this screen-writing assignment retriever's needed to invent a one page script from the title "Pieni herääminen". Later Joonas got invitation to the boards, but didn't succeed to get in the school. Joonas then started to work on with his short script, and made a longer short script version from it. About a half year later his screenplay was filmed in Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences as one of the school's official short films of 2009. All this time, the original title "Pieni herääminen" (in English A Small Awakening) stayed. Joonas have said, that there is no need to change the title, because after all, it was the perfect title for the film from the very beginning.
