The Hart Foundation kicks off the show. It's announced that Gorilla Monsoon will name a new commissioner soon. Because of Bret Hat's behavior last week, his situation will be reevaluated once the new commissioner is announced. Bret Hart says there is no justice in America. All you have to do is look at O.J Simpson. When he said he'd never wrestle in the United States again if he loses at Summerslam, he meant it figuratively, not literally. He says he hasn't lost hope, despite that the deck is stacked against him at Summerslam. He says if Shawn Michaels screws him, Shawn will be sitting at home for the next 10 years looking for his smile. Haha! He says Shawn better apologize for all the trash he said about Canadians last week. He says if you were gonna give the USA an enema, you'd stick the hose right in Pittsburgh. The crowd starts a loud "Here we go Steelers" chat. Bret issues a challenge to The Patriot, and says by hook or by crook, he will beat The Undertaker to become a 5 time WWF Champion.
Savio Vega & Miguel Perez Vs The Legion of Doom
LOD wins by DQ after Los Boricuas members and The Godwinns assault LOD. Henry Godwinn delivers a slop drop (Inverted DDT) on the floor to Hawk and throws slop from the slop bucket. Why were the Godwinns ever faces? They are naturally unlikable.

Triple H says every time Chyna has attacked Mankind, it's been after the match. He says Mankind has complained about getting beaten up by a woman. He says Mankind wants to put him in a steel cage match at Summerslam like some animal. Hunter says he can be an animal too. He says it's Jenny Craig time for Vader.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley (W/Chyna) Vs Vader (W/Paul Bearer)
The match never gets started because Mankind (disguised as a camera man) attacks Hunter with a camera. They brawl all the way into the crowd.
We get a vignette for Brakkus.
The Truth Commission (Recon, Sniper & The Interrogator) Vs Jessie James, Bob Holly & Flash Funk
The Truth Commission wins after The Interrogator pins Holly with a sidewalk slam. There was nothing all that impressive about this match. The Truth Commission wouldn't have that much success in the WWF.
3/4* out of 5
Farooq (W/Ahmed Johnson, Kama Mustafa & D'Lo Brown) Vs Crush (W/Chainz, Skull & 8-Ball)
The match ends in double DQ after Nation and DOA members start brawling. Los Boricuas come out as well and assault the DOA. It is what it is. Nothing more, nothing less. This was just here for some brief buildup for the DOA vs Los Boricuas match at Summerslam.
Tag Team Championship
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin & Dude Love (C) Vs The Godwinns
The Godwinns win by countout after Owen Hart nails Austin from behind with the Intercontinental title on the outside. The Legion of Doom come out and save Austin and Dude Love from a 4 on 2 beatdown. Austin's energy is always fun to watch and made this match watchable.
*1/2 out of 5
Devon Storm Vs Ace Darling
Devon Storm wins in like 30 seconds. The only noteworthy thing about this match is Ken Shamrock coming out.
Arm Wrestling Contest
Ken Shamrock Vs The British Bulldog
Shamrock has the match won until The British Bulldog headbutts Shamrock. He assaults Shamrock with a steel chair and covers him with a can of dog food as well. Arm Wrestling contests are OK. They add some entertainment, but most of them end up the same way. The heel cheating to avoid defeat.
Goldust (W/Marlena) Vs Rockabilly (W/The Honky Tonk Man)
Brian Pillman interferes and beats up Goldust. Marlena hops on Pillman's back and manages to stop Pillman. Oh, yeah! Some fighter, Michael Moorer knocked out Billy Gunn as well. This was nothing but filler.
1/4* out of 5
We get a video package of The Undertaker. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and The British Bulldog comment on The Undertaker's accomplishments.
Shawn Michaels refuses to apologize for his remarks about Canada. He claims he's gonna do some color commentary for the match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Bret Hart gets the Canadian national anthem to play and The Patriot gets the American national anthem to play.
Bret Hart Vs The Patriot
The Patriot wins after Shawn Michaels distracts Bret Hart. Whenever I hear The Patriot's song, I can't help but think of Kurt Angle. They basically had the same theme song. I think The Patriot is rather generic. They'd have a good match at In Your House: Ground Zero, but they didn't show much chemistry here.
