S. Hussain Zaidi is a Mumbai based investigative crime journalist, who has worked for some of India’s leading newspapers. One of his previous best selling books was Black Friday, which Anurag Kashyap successfully transformed onto screen. His most recent book is Dongri to Dubai: Six decades of the Mumbai Mafia and from this book has Shootout at Wadala been created. Sanjay Gupta says without it he could not have made this film, Anil Kapoor called it by far the best book on the Mumbai mafia and John Abraham hailed Zaidi as a master storyteller. If you have not had a chance to read the book, take it from us, it is an absolutely amazing book and having read the book recently, our expectations are sky high for the film. Further, Sanjay Gupta is back after a long hiatus and John Abraham attempts the role of gangster for the first time.

New Delhi: Udita Goswami who recently returned to the silver screen with ‘Diary of a Butterfly’ says that she did not actively stay out of the news for so long. She says that she was not on some long break but was busy with writing her own film script which she plans to co-direct and even act in.
Udita who made the audiences sit back and gulp with her role in her debut movie ‘Paap’, later moved to be typecast in thriller or suspense movies like ‘Aksar’, ‘Aggar’, ‘Zeher’, ‘Chase’ etc. This is not what she set out to become, she never wanted to act in multi-starrers, she says. She has had enough of doing films with 4 worthwhile scenes and 1 song. She would like to be the queen in her film, it should revolve around her, she emphasizes.
Is this why she is all ready.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
It’s been tough being hard on Entourage in my reviews here because I do genuinely still love the show; any doubt that my feelings had subsided was washed away as I watched this penultimate episode last night on Sky Atlantic and felt a genuine twinge of sadness when the continuity announcer hammered home the episode’s penultimate status.
Thankfully I’ve been able to ease up on my negativity lately because after a very poor mid-season lull (if you can even call eight episodes a ‘season’) the show has improved in the last couple of episodes and it’s looking like next week’s season, and series, finale won’t be a complete and utter dud.
That said, I have no earthly idea how they’re possibly going to satisfactorily conclude all the various storylines currently being juggled in one half hour episode.

Actor-producer Anuuj Saxena turned into a real life saviour when he saved his ‘Chase’ co-star Tarina Patel as she fell into Srinagar’s Dal Lake while shooting for a song in the film.
The pair was shooting a romantic song sequence on a shikara when Tarina lost her balance and fell into the water.
‘Kashmir is a paradise that’s why we chose it over other options for the romantic song. Shooting in a shikara was also an interesting experience but while standing in the boat, Tarina lost balance and fell in the Dal Lake and in attempt to rescue her I also fell into the water. Luckily the water was not cold and I know swimming.

Movie Review: Chase; Star cast: Anuuj Saxena, Udita Goswami, Tarina Patel, Samir Kochhar, Rajesh Khattar and Gulshan Grover; Director: Jagmohan Mundhra; Rating: *1/2 – Is a tame thriller.
It was just last week, with the release of Jagmohan Mundhra’s Apartment we spoke about Bollywood filmmakers destroying the thriller genre by only coming out with blatant rip offs of foreign flicks or non exciting plotlines. After watching this week’s new release Chase yet another misdirected venture by Mundhra, we wish to plead to the makers that stop murdering this genre! A couple of pathetic.

April 29, 2010: On the eve of the release of her latest film Chase, Udita Goswami tells Jyothi Venkatesh that her minus point as an actress is that she is not offered a lot of typical roles which only a Vidya Balan or a Rani Mukerjee can do, because she does not look like the coy girl next door.
