Nice dialogs
rosa-ip-furtado22 April 2012
It's a film with simple dialogs but well built and with a touch of humor. The film shows the lives of some people of Lisbon today and their relationships that walk in their lives in a, "so so" kind of living. The film shows the lives of people who try to reach happiness but keep living half-happy or "so so". There are no frameworks showing the city nor any kinds of special effects: it is a film based solely on conversations of people (friends, lovers, married people, ...). The opposite of an action film in terms of movement, but keeps a good pace thanks to the dialogs of the characters. It's an intelligent movie where there are embedded several short films each one with its own story, but always with a thread based on relationships between people: there is always one of the characters that knows or intersects with the next character in the story. There some laughs during all movie. Opposite to the review of some movie critics that considered this to be a bad movie, I think this is a good movie, with higher rank than a "so so" movie. You just have to look at it from a social point of view. Worth seeing.

An introspective movie
MovieCrusher28 June 2013
The most valuable aspect of this film is definitely the dialogues, very clever, and which depict the incoherences and contradictions of everyday people, when confronted with a bit of criticism. It also depicts the gymnastics and over-thinking people do to avoid situations that were simple after all.

Long story short:

  • You can look at it as a junction of several shorts, although they are slightly connected. - Relaxing film, mainly based on dialogues, with a bit of sarcastic humour.

Recommend.
