Simon Peter: I denied him because I was a coward. We are all cowards. We accused Judas of being a traitor but we ALL betrayed Him. We ALL abandoned him. At least our brothers in the Sanhedrin who condemned him didn't know him. The Romans, they did not know HIM. But we... we ate with Him. We lived with Him. We knew He was the Christ! Highlights Passion And Death Of Jesus
26 July 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The second part of Jesus Of Nazareth started to the point when Jesus performed the miracle of feeding the thousands of people through the multiplication of five loaves and two fishes up his passion, death and resurrection.Although the passion, death and resurrection were somewhat the highlights the second part,I also would like to give credit to the spectacular moments such as when Jesus came to Jerusalem on the donkey, getting angry at the money changers at the temple and finally his clashes with the Pharisees at the temple.

The passion and death of Jesus was definitely well done.As usual,Robert Powell did well as Jesus. But special mention should be given to other actors like Rod Steiger,Anthony Quinn,Lawrence Olivier and James Farentino as Pontius Pilate,Caiaphas,Nicodemus and Simon Peter respectively. I was just disappointed though that the resurrection was somewhat underplayed and the scenes were short and simple. There was nothing much to it except the fact that he just asked his apostles to spread the Good News after he appeared in a room with them. But inspite of it,I still felt that this was the best depiction of Jesus in a film or TV series.
