I wanted to love it more
30 December 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Hiccups has a funny idea with goofy characters in the wrong setting. Stan and his wife don't have that spark that says "this is a real marriage." It is sad too because Brent Butt is a likable guy and Paula Rivera is HOT! There just isn't chemistry as much as the convenience of the marriage jokes. Then there's Millie. Nancy Roberts has a great voice. Millie comes off as a cartoon... which brings me to my point.

This show is a cartoon using real people. I like the actors, the sets are okay, but the stories are a little too goofy to be in a live action (action?) television series. If this were a cartoon show, everything would translate better and we would still have the benefit of enjoying Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson.

Either way, I'm glad I got a chance to see this (and purchase the DVD's).
