MTV News Video Digest 11-3-11 Plus Awkward. DVD Coming November 14th

3 November 2011 2:05 PM, PDT | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

MTV is full of fun today, and while you may think that has something to do with the clip of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt.1 that is being revealed tonight, it actually has a lot more to do with the info that Awkward. is coming to DVD on November 14th.

That show blew me away from the first episode, and even though there were a few rough patches throughout the season, it's still a winner.

First, I've got some video clips, but be sure to check below for all the info on the DVD release.

Mac Miller stopped by for a "First Date" with MTV News' Rya Backer. Rya took the self-described "half-Jewish" rapper to NYC' Katz' Delicatessen. There, they enjoyed some pastrami on rye, talked Jewish rap history and Mac's 5 year plan: to win a Heisman, a Nobel Peace Prize and a Kids Choice Award.

Blu-ray Review: Pulp Fiction – A Masterpiece In Every Sense of the Word

17 October 2011 8:20 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Strap in people, this is a big one. I’m going to lay my cards on the table now. Any chance of real impartiality went out of the window the second I confirmed I’d be reviewing Pulp Fiction’s debut on Blu-ray in the UK. It’s not only my favourite Quentin Tarantino movie but I also believe it to be one of the most important pieces of contemporary Cinema existing today. It’s no secret though – Tarantino’s body of work is widely regarded as one of the finest currently in Hollywood and with roughly a million billion words worth of available justification. The speed of his unprecedented ascension to ‘voice-of-a-generation’ can surely be rivalled only by former face of popular Cinema, Orson Welles.

If I were to describe Pulp Fiction with a single word it’d be this: ballsy. Everything about Pulp Fiction »

Box Set Club: My So-Called Life

9 August 2011 6:35 AM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Watching this drama again was a curiously emotional experience as it's still a wonderfully honest account of teen life

Everyone has one show that holds a special place in their hearts because it was the one you loved most during those long awkward teenage nights spent wondering whether you'd ever fit in and, more importantly, if you really cared. Mine was My So-Called Life.

The story of clever, sensitive Angela Chase (a wonderful Claire Danes caught at the perfect point between gawky and luminous) and her attempts to reinvent herself by befriending wild Rayanne Graff and confused Rickie Vasquez, My So-Called Life ran for one all too brief season in 1994.

And back then it changed my life. In an era where channels are saturated with every kind of teen drama from the knowing (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars) to the earnest (The Secret Life of an American Teenager) it's hard »

One chaotic round of updates coming up.

Yes, it's Husbands, a web series about "two guys, a newly dating couple, who celebrate a new marriage equality law in Vegas and wake up married." A couple of snippets from the interview:

Km: What do you hope to become of Husbands in the long run? If it simply stays as a free series on the web, will that satisfy not only you but the actors?

Je: Honestly, I would love to see Husbands turn into a network television show. I’m loving the freedom that we’re enjoying as we put it together ourselves, but there’s something about it that feels so accessible — it’s Ab Fab, Dharma and Greg, Will and Grace … it feels »

Final Destination 5's Miles Fisher is Saved by the Bell in Hilariously Violent New Spoof!
