Nas Garras da Patrulha (In the grip of the patrol)is an example of how good the Northeast Brazil's humor can be. Made from an almost cottage industry, with figures depicting scenes and circus, this series of TV audience is almost unanimous among the public of Ceara state, where is the TV Diário, producer of the TV show. This series is full of social criticism, both local customs and social injustice. This causes the lower layers of the population identify themselves with the series. A feature of the Nas Garras da Patrulha is the fact that only four comedians do more than 40 characters, mimicking different types of voices, creating slogans that come to the common vocabulary of the people of Ceara and the Northeast of Brazil.
