Homer can't tell Marge he won the lottery because he was supposed to be giving a wedding toast when he bought the ticket. But Bart soon finds out where he's hiding the money and begins to blackmail him.

Storyline

Homer blows off Marge to buy a lottery ticket and winds up winning the million-dollar jackpot. Fearing how Marge will react if she finds out the reason Homer missed their date, Homer keeps his newly inherited fortune a secret and spoils his family with "anonymous" gifts. When Bart finds out, he and Homer spend the money like it's going out of style, including buying front-row to tickets to see Coldplay in concert. Written by FOX Publicity

A brilliant episode with an everyday Homer Simpson.

Million dollar maybe is a brilliant Simpsons episode with your typical everyday Homer Simpson,its about Homer suppose to be doing a toast for a wedding but that day at work he gets a message on a fortune cookie telling him that he will have a lucky day and Lenny and Carl tell him to take advantage of it,so Homer decides to buy a lottery ticket at the Kwik-E-Mart but the line is full and Homer ends up having to wait for a while,and once he eventually gets the tickets he ends up being late for the wedding toast and while trying to get a tuxedo on while driving he ends up crashing the car. He wakes up the next morning in the hospital and sees that the T.V. is giving the lotto results and he ends up winning but cant tell his family so pretends that Barney was the person who won it,and then Homer starts buying gifts for the family but putting it in places were they will eventually find it and thinking it just popped out of nowhere,but Bart soon discovers the money and blackmails Homer.
