Johnny Weir has a great personality
31 July 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This video captures a fascinating slice of life. Johnny has wit, originality, sass, class and talent. He is a bit like an Oscar Wilde child crossed with Adrian Monk and a rock star. This movie shows what goes into making a world-class athlete and all the uncertainties of figure skating competitions.

This movie takes one behind the scenes to see what goes into making those finished short and long programs in major competitions. It shows the athleticism and discipline necessary to perform well at the highest levels of ice skating, plus the willingness to endure pain and injury (from falling). The magnificence of skating tempered with the pain of falling and practicing day in and day out give me new respect and appreciation for this sport/art.
