A new doctor is checking into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital when Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC this fall, and he’ll be sticking around for a while. The Red Road‘s Martin Henderson has joined the ABC medical drama as a series regular for Season 12. Last month, TVLine first reported that Shonda Rhimes and her Grey’s Anatomy team were looking to cast a new character to help fill the void left by Patrick Dempsey’s exit. Per the the TVLine article, the casting required an actor in his “late 30s to late 40s to portray the series-regular role of a doctor.”  The actor also “must be good-looking, charismatic and believable as a surgeon.” Henderson, who actually starred as Dr. Ben Keeton in Rhimes’ other medical drama, the short-lived 2011 series Off the Map, certainly matches that casting description, and it will be interesting to see how he fits into »
