An ensemble of three independent stories is bound together by characters, who are going through experiences involving the senses of smell. The stories depict the complexity of relationships and their varied emotional landscape. Lagnachya Vayachi Mulgi (A Bride To Be) is a romantic comedy taking shape in the old Pune city area of Sadashiv Peth. Aushadh ghenara Manus (A Man On Medicines), is the tale of Sarang, a fashion photographer, whose wife Raavi returns to meet him one day and his life changes forever. Baajoola Basleli Baai (A Woman Sitting Aside), takes place on a stormy night in a village. Janaki, cannot attend to the newly born baby in the house and has to make do by doing nothing. This movie succeeds in making the audience smell what actually the characters are smelling...I think the movie wins there itself...
...the movie is basically comprised of 3 short stories...1st one is about a Pune girl on the verge of marriage...she wants to find her love and parents want to find groom for her...its not a typical treatment and works big time due to actors as well...2nd one is about a man who is always on medicine n the day when his so called wife, who has left him for more than 2yrS, comes to meet him...again amazing acting...3rd one exposes the problem we have in rural Maharashtra where a women in her periods cannot do daily chores and no one can touch her...Neena Kulkarni pulls this off with ease...
Kudos to Schin Kundalkar and his team... Definitely a must watch...
