(TV Series)

(2010)

Plot Summary

  • Only Becket, on whom the lead character was based, pretends not to be excited when one of Castle's books is chosen for a Hollywood movie. An anonymous, amused 'fan' calls the precinct to report his murder from a Grand Central Station phone booth, where the victim is found, shot with five bullets hand-marked to spell out 'NIKKI'. It's personal injury lawyer Alex Peterman. More calls, bodies, a deliberate clue and messages follow spelling 'will burn'. From the second murder, the FBI sends serial killer agent Jordan Shaw, who soon returns Castle's admiration when he deciphers clues. An apparent solution proves most dangerous.
