‘Twin Peaks’: See The Show’s Creepy Cool Golden Globe Awards Mailer — Exclusive
Twin Peaks” is relying on Laura Palmer to help it face off in this year’s Golden Globes race.

IndieWire has managed to secure the Showtime show’s “For Your Consideration” mailer for Hollywood Foreign Press Association members, and it’s definitely a must-see collectible for any fan of the David Lynch revival.

Because “Twin Peaks” aired during the summer, it wasn’t eligible for this past September’s Emmys — which means this represents the revival’s first shot at awards consideration. The show is competing in the Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television category, and it’s considered a front-runner.

Movie Review – Suburbicon (2017)

Suburbicon, 2017.

Directed by George Clooney.

Starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Noah Jupe, Glenn Fleshler, Gary Basaraba, Karimah Westbrook, Tony Espinosa, Megan Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac.

Synopsis:

A home invasion rattles a quiet family town.

At this point, we must accept that George Clooney is a much better actor than director, or at the very least is going through a continuous string of baffling misfires. The Monuments Men and Suburbicon now mark back to back features, that from the beginning, were set up to be prestige awards-worthy pictures only for the results to meet far below those expectations.

Suburbicon is at best, mediocre, which is still actually a condemnation of its quality considering it was written by Joel and Ethan Coen. Matt Damon and Julianne Moore provide serviceable performances at the center of an All-American blue-collar family in the wholesome but comically over-the-top racist neighborhood of the titular Suburbicon, but acting

Colton Haynes Dressed in Drag as a Very Sexy Marge Simpson for Halloween

On Tuesday, Haynes debuted his Halloween 2017 outfit — turning heads as Simpsons’ matriarch Marge Simpson while hosting the second annual Black Magic Halloween Affair in Los Angeles, California.

Of course, not one to just stick to the norm,

‘Twin Peaks’ Review: David Lynch Bids at Least One Pensive Goodbye in a Powerful ‘Part 15’

‘Twin Peaks’ Review: David Lynch Bids at Least One Pensive Goodbye in a Powerful ‘Part 15’
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Twin Peaks: The Return” Episode 15, “Part 15.”]

Throughout “The Return,” David Lynch and Mark Frost have paid tribute to cast and crew who have passed away since the original seasons aired — including a dedication to David Bowie in last week’s episode — but “Part 15” felt like an episode-long tribute to Catherine E. Coulson. The woman known fondly as the Log Lady and formally as Margaret Lanterman said her final goodbye near the end of Episode 15, speaking to Hawk (Michael Horse) over the phone, just as she has all season, and reminding him to “watch for that one […] the one under the moon on Blue Pine Mountain.”

It was difficult and largely unnecessary to absorb plot points when her final words meant so much more than the narrative. Coulson passed away in 2015 and she filmed scenes for “The Return” shortly before her death,

"Twin Peaks," Episode 11 Recap: I Want To Get Us There In One Piece

Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series.A study in contrasts. That's the best way to describe Part 11 of Mark Frost and David Lynch's revived Twin Peaks, which opens with a brief moment of doom-laden calm—three young boys playing catch happening upon the bruised and beaten but very much alive Miriam Sullivan (Sarah Jean Long)—then details, for its first half, the many ways in which the titular town, as well as the few-states-over locale of Buckhorn, South Dakota, are coming unglued. But this is dramatic incident Lynch-style, which means that the narrative rhythms are always shifting (violently, unpredictably), as if someone was continually revving a car engine into the red, but never in a calculable way. There's madness in such extremity, as there's insanity in the blood-curdling scream

How Ryan Phillippe’s Daughter Ava Helped Prepare Him for Playing a Dad: ‘I Obviously Understand Teenage Girls’

How Ryan Phillippe’s Daughter Ava Helped Prepare Him for Playing a Dad: ‘I Obviously Understand Teenage Girls’
For Ryan Phillippe, playing a dad in his new thriller Wish Upon didn’t take too much research.

In the film, he plays the father of 17-year-old Clare Shannon — and in real life, the actor has a 17-year old daughter of his own, Ava Elizabeth, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.

Joey King, who plays my daughter, is the same age as my daughter in real life,” Phillippe, 42, tells People. “So she and I could connect very easily because I obviously understand teenage girls.”

Exclusive: Ryan Phillippe on Embarrassing His Kids & Daughter Ava Looking Like Reese: 'She Has Her Own Face!'
There's nothing Ryan Phillippe loves more than being a dad.

Et caught up with the 42-year-old actor at a junket for his latest film, Wish Upon, last week, where he opened up about his favorite (and so favorite!) things about parenting ahead of Father's Day.

Watch: Ryan Phillippe Shows Off His Insane Non-Dad Bod

Phillippe is the proud father of three kids. He shares two children, daughter Ava, 17, and son Deacon, 13, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, and has another daughter, 5-year-old Kai, with ex Alexis Knapp.

While chatting with Et's Katie Krause, the New Castle, Delaware, native admitted that he and Witherspoon aren't always considered cool parents.

"I don't think any parent gets the ultimate cool card," he said. "Maybe once they get into their twenties, and they're past the teenage period, I might become cool again, but I'm sure there's tons of stuff that both Reese and I do that embarrasses the kids."

Twin Peaks season 3 episode 6 review: Don’t Die

Joe Matar Jun 13, 2017

The latest episode of Twin Peaks: The Return is so insane it illuminates nothing, but still manages to intrigue our Us chums...

This review contains spoilers.

3.6 Don't Die

The premiere of Twin Peaks’ return had little in it that felt like classic Twin Peaks and it was Lynchian to the max, making for a tough but engrossing watch. The following episodes introduced some levity and seemed to be steering us inchingly back toward the familiar town.

Well, that’s all over now. Welcome back to Lynchtown, population: what the ever-loving fudge?

In an odd way, this is welcome. If the show is going to drip feed me plot developments as slowly and infrequently as it has been, keeping me in the dark about mostly everything, I’m good with it leaning into the unsettling, confusing stuff.
