Not The Usual Vampire Story
ccthemovieman-14 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Vampires? Well, that's the theme here as a pretty young woman is found stabbed to death in Central Park. A budding photographer, the woman had gone out to take pictures on a pretty snowy day in the park. From behind someone stabbed her in the neck. (She was not drained of blood, as it states in the summary on this home page. The detectives thought so at first, but then quickly discovered all the blood was covered by the snowfall. It was there.)

The whos and whys start adding up to "sanguine love," a part of vampirism identifiable by a unique scar on the participants' wrists.

How they make that particular scar turns out to be extremely valuable in learning who killed "Estelle Christiansen" (Melinda Dahl).

The story is so-so, bordering on believability concerning an old and odd topic. Don't expect the normal, creepy vampire story, although there are a few squeamish scenes regarding the making of those scars.
