The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards opened with a bang, literally, when Lady Gaga was dropped into a fiery pit, then emerged in triumphant song before taking a seat at a piano opposite Elton John. The two ash-covered icons duet-ed between her Breathless and his My Song, in what was arguably the best performance of the evening. As for the winners, ladies take a bow. Beyonce took several -- six to be exact -- a new female record. She picked up the first Grammy of the evening for Song of the Year with Ladies Night (Put a Ring On It), followed by subsequent awards for Best Female Vocal Performance for Halo, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Contemporary R&B Album. Adding to her golden night, Beyonce performed You Oughta Know and If I Were A Boy amidst an army of dark robotic dancers. »

2010 Grammys: Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles' Performances

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards has been made merry with performances from various musicians. Multiple winners Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles were among the few who took the Staples Center's stage on Sunday, January 31 to entertain the audience with their his songs and collaborations.

GaGa hit the stage early, opening the awards show by presenting a Fame Factory performance. Singing her popular song "Poker Face", the dance queen was seen belting out the song in a green outfit with head-high shoulder pads. After being thrown into a "Rejected" tube, she re-appeared with Elton John on the piano. They sang her ballad "Speechless" with a little bit of his "Your Song".

Later on, Beyonce came up on stage to deliver her performance. Introduced by Simon Baker, she sang her hit single "If I Were a Boy" with the company of dancers dressing in what appears to be a squadron of riot police. »

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 31 promises to be music's biggest night ... and also ladies night.

Beyonce Knowles, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga (left) made such an impact 2009, and they're well represented at the Grammy Awards with several nominations apiece.

Besides the usual performances and outrageous fashions (how can she sit in that?), this year's telecast also features a rare appearance by Michael Jackson's children, Prince Michael and Paris, who will accept a lifetime achievement award on behalf of their late father.

If you need to steal away during the festivities, no worries, we'll be recapping all of the show's highlights.

The 52nd edition of the Grammy Awards decided to put a ring on it and embraced its feminine side, making history in the process.

With several major awards going to female artists and show-stopping performances by a strutting Beyonce, a fiery Lady Gaga and a high-flying Pink, girl power was in full force Sunday at Staples Center.

By the time it was over, the night had to be shared by two: Beyonce, who made history as the first woman to walk away with six statuettes in one evening, and Taylor Swift, whose "Fearless" was named album of the year.

The tone was set early when Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Swift collected multiple awards during the rapid-fire pre-telecast presentation. »

Big names in music industry had come out to the Staples Center on Sunday, January 31 for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, and among those stealing the red carpet spotlight was Carrie Underwood. The 26-year-old country star, who is nominated for two Grammys, sparkled in her silvery white floor-length gown with silver strappy detailing on her shoulders.

While Underwood dressed to impress for the red carpet, another musician Lady GaGa showed off her unique style once again. The dance electronica singer, who is up for five awards for the night, was spotted on the red carpet in a custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown. Sported a shiny, silvery, three-dimensional dress, she promised other outfits for the night.

Rihanna Declares Her Single Status

Rihanna has shot down speculation that she is romancing Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp. The 21-year old singer made the revelation when appearing on 104.3 My FM's "Valentine in the Morning" show on Thursday, January 28. Asked who is her date for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, she blurted, "I'm still single, if that's what you really want to ask!"

Adam Lambert Won't Be Mean on 2010 Grammys' Red Carpet

"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert will be present on the red carpet of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards with a special assignment. The "For Your Entertainment" singer has been tapped as a special fashion correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and he promises there will be no harsh criticism when he performing his job.

"I'm overly honest, so that will probably show through," the 27-year old stated before promising, "I won't be mean though. I'm not mean." Asked to rate himself as a fashion police, the singer who made controversy at 2009 AMAs uttered his confidence, "I'll be ok. I love clothes, I love fashion. I pay attention to that stuff.
