First Look Photos from The CW's Star-Crossed and The 100

The CW is holding both "Star-Crossed" and "The 100" in reserve for mid-season duty, but during the recent TV Upfronts they released a few photos from each show's pilot, and we have a look at them all right here.
Both series have a sci-fi tinge, but "The 100" especially, with its post-apocalyptic setting and the presence of Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost,” “Scandal”), has our attention for sure. And while "Star-Crossed" definitely seems to appeal to the more romantic types among us, it has a lot of familiar faces and could be worth watching for one or two episodes at least.

We have another horror announcement from Cannes. Snowfort Pictures and Dark Sky Films revealed that production is underway on Starry Eyes:
“Cannes (May 18, 2013)- Elevated genre production company Snowfort Pictures and Mpi’s Dark Sky Films, the preeminent independent producer-distributor of high quality genre film announced today that production is underway on Dennis Widmyer & Kevin Kolsch’s Hollywood set occult tale, Starry Eyes. Snowfort Pictures is producing, while Mpi will handle international sales at the 2013 Cannes Marche du Film.
Starring ingénue Alex Essoe, the horror story is being described as a contemporary take on movies such as Rosemary’s Baby. We first heard about Starry Eyes in March when it added The Innkeepers' Pat Healy to the cast, and it looks like the flick is on the fast-track as word from Cannes today is that production is as of now under way on the Hollywood-set occult tale. Here are more details and the first still.

Pretty Little Liars may be coming back for its fourth season soon, but Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings on the incredibly addicting ABC Family show, already has an idea on what she will do next. The CW has long been one of the best supporters of Our Kind of Shows, and at this year’s Upfronts they put even more money where our hearts are. Of the six new shows announced for the fall and winter schedule, four are for us: The Originals, The Tomorrow People, The 100, and Star-Crossed. Now of course more than one has that trademark The CW soap opera-ish spin on it, but hey, not Every show is for every one of us.
Here to assist in our prejudging are synopses for all, via Deadline, and maybe even better, clips and/or TV spots. There’s not really anything new for The Originals, but fans will want to see it all again anyway. The Tomorrow People features the wonderful Mark Pellegrino so it’s my favorite of the four.

The CW announced its fall 2013-14 slate earlier today, adding five new dramas including a drama about Mary, Queen of Scots called Reign, as well as the highly anticipated Vampire Diaries spinoff titled The Originals, and The Tomorrow People, starring Robbie Amell, brother of Arrow’s Stephen Amell. The second time I interviewed Shay Mitchell, we both had terrible colds. The CW presented its 2013-14 broadcast schedule today, and we have all the details of who's paired with whom and on which nights we'll be able to see our favorites as well as some clips and previews.

Yesterday, they dropped three new teases, including an amazing one in which Hanna and Emily get into a squabble about Hanna and Mona. American Horror Story’s Britne Oldford Will Co-Star In Ravenswood

What does American Horror Story have in common with Ravenswood, the pending ABC Family Pretty Little Liars spin-off? Well, both shows tend to deal with mystery, but first and foremost is pretty little actress, Britne Oldford, who is in the news today for joining the Ravenswood cast.
A Canadian actress, Oldford played Cadie Campbell in Skins and Alma Walker in a handful of American Horror Story: Asylum episodes. She was Kit Walker’s wife, Kit having been portrayed by Evan Peters.
Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. ABC Family's new "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off "Ravenswood" has cast two more female characters.
Nicole Gale Anderson has been tapped to play leading lady Miranda, a feisty foster kid who uses her wits to cover her emotional scars, reports EW. Anderson is an alum of the CW's "Beauty and the Beast."
And Deadline says Britne Oldford has been cast as Remy, a series regular who can fit in anywhere but doesn't belong to any one clique. She won't stop looking for the truth until she finds it. Oldford was previously seen on "Skins" and "American Horror Story."
