The CW is holding both "Star-Crossed" and "The 100" in reserve for mid-season duty, but during the recent TV Upfronts they released a few photos from each show's pilot, and we have a look at them all right here.
Both series have a sci-fi tinge, but "The 100" especially, with its post-apocalyptic setting and the presence of Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost,” “Scandal”), has our attention for sure. And while "Star-Crossed" definitely seems to appeal to the more romantic types among us, it has a lot of familiar faces and could be worth watching for one or two episodes at least.
So while you're here, check out the photos below (top row from "The 100" and bottom from "Star-Crossed"). For more info visit "The 100" and "Star-Crossed" on Cwtv.com, and follow "The 100" (@cwthe100) and "Star-Crossed" (@CWStarCrossed) on Twitter.

Now that the spring TV Upfronts are over, we can catch our breath and start doling out some of the goods that the networks provided during the week. First up are a few new images from The CW's "The Originals."

Weight has always a bit of a hush-hush issue in Hollywood. Until, someone like Zoe Saldana has the exact number behind her pin-thin frame revealed, prompting other actresses to speak out about Hollywood's weight obsession. Two of them, being Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell and Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, who have both opened up about their healthy (and not-your-average-Hollywood) outlook on life. "Being beautiful doesn't mean being skinny. It's about being healthy," Mitchell tells Self magazine. "I'd starve myself for a day, and the next day I was hungry, tired and miserable," the 26-year-old star recalls her mindset in her younger »

Pretty Little Liars may be coming back for its fourth season soon, but Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings on the incredibly addicting ABC Family show, already has an idea on what she will do next. During a recent chat with the 27-year-old, Bellisaio told me that she would love get back to even more dramatic roles, just like her current role in the Wigs YouTube series Lauren.
"Yes, it was wonderful for me," she says of her experience. "It’s very funny, I was so excited that the fans from Pretty Little Liars were so receptive and so supportive of Lauren, and especially helpful in getting it out there, because there are so many of them. And they really took to it and they really saw what I think, what Jennifer [Beals] and I both saw in this story, which is that it needs to be told and it needs »

The CW has long been one of the best supporters of Our Kind of Shows, and at this year’s Upfronts they put even more money where our hearts are. Of the six new shows announced for the fall and winter schedule, four are for us: The Originals, The Tomorrow People, The 100, and Star-Crossed. Now of course more than one has that trademark The CW soap opera-ish spin on it, but hey, not Every show is for every one of us.
Here to assist in our prejudging are synopses for all, via Deadline, and maybe even better, clips and/or TV spots. There’s not really anything new for The Originals, but fans will want to see it all again anyway. The Tomorrow People features the wonderful Mark Pellegrino so it’s my favorite of the four.

The second time I interviewed Shay Mitchell, we both had terrible colds. When she answered the phone with a stuffy nose and persistent cough, I found myself shocked that she hadn't cancelled the interview, and my disbelief was complete when she offered to send me soup when she realized I was sick too. Every time I talk to any of the cast or writers from Pretty Little Liars, they all say the same thing: That Shay Mitchell will take your breath away she's so beautiful — on the outside, yes, duh, of course; but on the inside too. Former Pll scribe Andy Reaser once told me she has "the inner light."
Shay Mitchell is flawless, basically, is what I am saying. Just yesterday, she took to Tumblr to encourage her followers — especially her lesbian and bisexual ones — to be proud of who they are. It's a »

Good morning, Brewbies! With the season four premiere of Pretty Little Liars just three weeks away, ABC Family has started raining down promo clips. Yesterday, they dropped three new teases, including an amazing one in which Hanna and Emily get into a squabble about Hanna and Mona. Poor ol' Hanna had no idea what kind of drama she was in for when she started accepting PinkDrinks.
Also, guess who's back this year?

What does American Horror Story have in common with Ravenswood, the pending ABC Family Pretty Little Liars spin-off? Well, both shows tend to deal with mystery, but first and foremost is pretty little actress, Britne Oldford, who is in the news today for joining the Ravenswood cast.
Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. The ‘Spring Breakers’ star flaunted her casual and cool sense of style — and you can Shop for her denim shorts right here.
Ashley Benson looked so cute and casual when she attended the BottleRock music festival on May 11 in Napa Valley — we loved it! The best part about the 23-year-old’s style is that her whole outfit was also totally affordable, too.
The star kept her get-up cool and comfortable for the festival, layering the aerie ‘Hidden Love Tank’ on top of her aerie ‘Festival Bandeau’ bra. The pop of color was so pretty beneath the tank. The star topped the whole outfit off with the adorable ‘Festival Shortie’ and apair of ankle-high black boots. She spiced up her outfit by putting flowers in her hair, making her look boho chic for the occasion.
