While nearly all of this activity was removed during principal, due to discussions with the actress, there is a scene where Frost and Rachael speak at dinner in which Frost refers to herself in the story by the name 'Francis' in reference to her aversion towards speaking French.

The role of Frost received over 400 submissions, with auditions spanning over a 2 month period. During the process the director spotted Leah Gaston's head shot and immediately called her in. She was unable to perform due to an illness and nearly canceled. Following a series of requests by the director she came back in a day later, still under the weather. Upon meeting her Arik Renee Avila was quoted as saying "From the moment we met I knew Leah was Frost. She was the only one who could be."

In order to maintain the visual prominence of her character Rebekah Mayfield, the actress Silver Renee Duncan wore foam platform shoes raising her some 3 inches off the floor. The downside was that Rebekah's character did a lot of running making the shoes extremely uncomfortable, though the actress never complained.

During a scene where Frost and Rebekah meet, the actresses were supposed to bump into each other, while the script read 'Slam Into Each Other'. Frost was to be reading while Rebekah was to run while looking the opposite direction. Following a few weak takes in which they completely missed any contact whatsoever, they both doubled their speed while altering their course, causing a massive collision which sent Frost's papers flying and threw both girls into a tailspin. Dazed and disoriented, they continued the scene flawlessly. This take was left in the film.

Spoilers

The trivia item below may give away important plot points.

A major special effect in the film takes place with Frost and Summer, a set of identical twins, interacts with each other. Leah Gaston plays both roles by acting with a double then repeating the scene as the other character. The double in many cases had a completely different cadence and performance yet when Frost and Summer performed by Leah were put back together they matched nearly perfectly. This is evident in some scene where the two are seen side to side, when no double was present at all.
