Might be one of the worst things I've seen

Smile (2022) by Oktober Layne has got to be one of the mediocre amiture pile of dog's doo doo! The film is not meant to be seen my normal people. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth after you've watched it due to the terrible editing, soundtrack and acting. I can't believe that people funded this film on a crowdfunding website. People actually pledged money into this! This looks so undermined for a film that had money put aside. If you have to watch this film, might as well get stoned while you're at it cause the hour you'll be spending feels like an eternity and you'll be begging for it back.

Frown

Warning: Spoilers
Should have named the movie frown. It was a nice attempt but the story just didn't come together for me. Ending indicates there could potentially be a part 2. Hopefully they do better next go round.

Starts off good but starts to lag. The characters don't really mesh well together and the scenes are all over the place. Not sure what the SMILE is really supposed to indicate as it doesn't really fit into the story line. Just adds a bit of creepiness to the movie. But it has several jump scenes if you're into that. I think I dozed off while I was watching this. Maybe because it was late or maybe I was bored. Either way I definitely was not smiling.

Devine Casting

Kitty Timbers slays as a creepy clown. She seams the perfect blend of psychotic and compelling.

Elihue Ackerman portrays a detective who needs this case to save his career.

This film take place in various locations but non more stunning then the asylum where the characters broke out of.

An hour and a half is not easy feat for the up an coming director Oktober Layne. However, this movie is a fun horrifying showcase of what talent can emerge from indie films.

Will the detective catch the murderous clown? Will the town ever be safe again? You must watch to find out.

Rating 10/10 for great casting and locations!
