Winter Madness (#4.11)
ComedyFan20104 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
To help the crew fight their winter madness Liz wants to take them for a trip, but Jack wants to see Nancy so he relocates the trip to Boston and everyone is mad. Liz comes up with a person to blame it all on, but turns out that it is the name she saw in Boston so the crew finds him and lets it out on him.

I hope the Nancy story will be over now. I don't like her. The character making jokes about dog abuse isn't funny, plus she is a simpleton and I also don't like to see Jack acting like this because of somebody like her.

What I did like in this episode was seeing everyone being so mad, especially when they let it out at the poor innocent guy!

Guest starring Kevin Meaney
safenoe31 August 2021
Kevin Meaney, who died too young a few years ago, guest stars as John Hancock, and Ray Bokhour plays TV executive Dale Snitterman. I'm a huge 30 Rock fan but I felt this episode was a bit uneven despite it being set away from New York. Yes, that's right, in Boston!

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time. Conventional wisdom was that Sorkin's powerhouse series be the one that would survive the first season, with 30 Rock being a one season wonder. But history has proved otherwise.

Great except for Julianne Moore's horrible accent

Everyone in this episode is so on point, and would normally get my rating a 10/10, esp Tracy Morgan, but Julianne Moore's horribly fake Boston accent ruins it. I love Julianne Moore too, which makes it even harder to watch her scenes and sit through every time she speaks, without cringing and asking, "whyyyyy jules, you vondruke!"

That's it. Nails on a chalkboard! Listening to that awful exaggerated Boston accent could be used as torture! Ridiculous.
