Friday, July 25 is going to be the busiest day ever for TV fans at the San Diego Comic-Con. After waiting in long lines, fighting through crowds and sitting patiently while waiting for panels to start, attendees will bask in the glory of hit shows like "Arrow," "The Walking Dead," "Sleepy Hollow," "Orphan Black," "Bones" "Bates Motel" and "Game of Thrones," plus get an early look at newbies such as "iZombie" "Outlander," "Intruders" and "Mike Tyson Mysteries." Fox Cancels Mid-Season Drama Hieroglyph Way Before Its Premiere

A few months ago, Fox paraded their new mid-season Egyptian drama, Hieroglyph, around during their Upfront presentation to mixed reviews from critics. Since then, the network has changed their mind about the series and seven months before the show was scheduled to premiere, Fox has pulled the plug on the action adventure show that last October they gave a straight to series order.

The network chose to skip the pilot process and go straight to series in order to spread the budget out over multiple episodes, but have revealed that the scripts going forward weren’t as strong at they had originally hoped. The series, written by Travis Beacham, was developed several season ago and had set Anne Fricke to be showrunner in March as part of her overall deal with 20th Century.

“During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, four young friends get into trouble with a loan shark and must skip town in a hurry. But gambling debts may be the least of their worries after they get stranded in the vast Nevada desert. When the remaining three catch up with their lost friend, they notice something oddly different about him.
