GREY MATTER is the official adaptation of Stephen King's short story from the anthology NIGHT SHIFT. The film tells the story of Issac, a young man who must care for his war vet, alcoholic father after they're both abandoned by his mother. Issac finds release from his trouble at home by acting out in school, mainly by telling lies. Unfortunately, these lies have consequences when Issac's father begins a horrific transformation. I think previous reviewer has watched the wrong film
This is a short and is only 17 minutes long. The previous reviewer says that he walked out and says 'within 25 minutes'. I think this is a bit confusing since the short is, again, only 17 minutes. And just for clarification here, I do not know the filmmakers in any way, have never met them, and have only watched the film. I am not 'a friend'. This incredible film was made by a student. If you think you can do better cowboy (Zdislav_Dorklehoven from Oosterscheldekering), go ahead, post it online, and we can all review it and see how you do. Compared to the literally millions of short films out there, the directing, vision, and choice of shots in this film is second to none. Really incredible. This director has talent. End of story.
