Trivia

The earrings Mischa Barton wore as Gladys Dalton had to be especially altered so that she could wear them. As filming took place less than six months after Mischa had her ears pierced especially to play Sonja Stone in The Beautiful Life: TBL, she was unable to wear the heavy earrings provided for her as they were on "shepherd's hook" wires. This was because the holes in her ears, although healed, had not yet hardened and could be damaged by the weight of the earrings pulling on the thin wires. So that she could wear the earrings safely, the costume department had them remounted on thicker "post and butterfly" fittings that Mischa could wear without harming her ears. See more »
