Miles Teller & Aaron Eckhart Attached to Bleed for This, Martin Scorsese to Executive Produce

Coming off the back of an acclaimed performance in Whiplash, Miles Teller is already lining up another new film for his slate, Bleed for This, telling the true story of world champion boxer Vinny Pazienza, now Vinny Paz.

THR report that Teller and Aaron Eckhart are now attached to lead the project, which is being written and directed by Ben Younger (Boiler Room, Prime).

Teller would play Pazienza, who, after a near fatal car crash which left him not knowing if he’d ever walk again, made an incredible comeback. After months of recovery and against doctors’ orders, Vinny returned to the gym under infamous trainer, Kevin Rooney (Eckhart), and made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later.

Aaron Eckhart and Miles Teller have both signed on to star in the Vinny Pazienza boxing biopic, Bleed For This.

Oscar winner Martin Scorsese (The Wolf Of Wall Street) will executive produce the project which Synchronicity Entertainment, the cutting edge division of The Solution Entertainment Group, will sell at the European Film Market in Berlin.

Based on the incredible true story of one of boxing’s most charismatic and exciting figures, Bleed For This centers around Vinny Panzienza (Teller), who quickly shot to stardom when he dominated undefeated champion Gilbert Dele. A near-fatal automobile accident left him with the news that he would never walk again. After months of recovery and against doctors’ orders, Vinny returned to the gym under infamous trainer, Kevin Rooney (Eckhart), and made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later.
