Storyline

Welcome to another season of "Project Runway." We're back in New York this season, which Portland gal Janeane is "dorking out" over just a little bit. She is so overwhelmed that she begins to cry. Winning would "change my life," she says. American-trained physical therapist and Italian-trained designer Ping, meanwhile, knows how a body moves and functions. Then there's Anthony from Alabama, who explains that "It is hell being black and gay in the ghetto." He just wants to design gowns for Miss USA. Don't we all. Jay from San Fran, meanwhile, likes "dramatic" clothing and has no interest in being a millionaire. Pamela, 47, gets big hugs from the other ladies in the suite. She has her own small design business and warns that she is "type A." Jonathan from Rhode Island announces that he is on a quest to find that place "between gritty and pretty." Good luck, good sir. Back to New York (#7.1)

All excited about watching the new season. All contestants seem to be interesting and talented. I loved the idea for the first challenge this year. Finally1 Not telling them to make a cabbage dress but to work to show who they are without restrictions. This is what the first challenge should always be like.

I loved the winning dress, would totally wear it myself. Emilio was the right choice for the win. Liked Seth Anthony's dress as well. Ping's outfit is so not my thing. But I agree that it was very original so I am for her being in the top as well as she is pretty interesting in the way she works.

I actually liked Jesus' dress. I agree with the selection to be eliminated, although her dress wasn't all that bad either. But man, did Heidi have to be such an ass about it? Sure it is nice to make it suspense but she talked the way that already must have given Christiane too much hope.

Anyways, it must be a good season when the first losing dress is not all that bad itself. Looked at Christianee King's site she makes beautiful dresses. The one on the show doesn't do them justice.
