Artie Lange was banned from appearing on HBO Sports programs after this appearance. Lange insulted Joe Buck and the show saying that it would not last more than four episodes. HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg felt that Lange was "mean-spirited". Although he was banned, Lange made a cameo appearance in a pre-taped segment in the next episode spoofing the incident. Coincidentally, the show was cancelled after three episodes.
