Better than CREEPSHOW Parts 2 or 3!

Picking up after the ending of the wraparound tale from the original CREEPSHOW, CREEPSHOW RAW: INSOMNIA tells the tale of Phillip & his mother Anges, the latter of whom has re- married, unfortunately for Phillip, he is yet again living under the burdensome yoke with yet another abusive, scum bag, step dad (well played by MICHAEL MADSEN) who is forever picking on Phillip, especially when he learns Phillip has been unable to sleep at night & keeps falling asleep at school. Unfortunately it's not insomnia keeping Phillip awake at nights, it's a vicious flesh eating monster that emerges from his closet at midnight seeking to devour him! & Phillip is forced to every night, try & survive being eaten, if only he could find something else to feed this bloodthirsty closet monster, a huge steak or a roast, or even a ham, or an abusive step dad...CREEPSHOW RAW: INSOMNIA has finally done something that neither of the two feature length & bigger budgeted CREEPSHOW sequels were able to do & that is, create a tale or more that comes close to matching the first film! A mere eight minutes in length, CREEPSHOW RAW: INSOMNIA is far better than any of the CREEPSHOW sequels, it's scary, re-uses the original films score, has fantastic monster effects, solid acting & good direction (By THAT 70'S SHOW star WILMER VALDERAMA!) a name actor MICHAEL MADSEN who plays the lecherous step dad & enough suspense & tension to make it rival the first film in a variety of ways & the twist ending was great! I also loved the fact that the film-makers behind this, returned to the comic book banners around many scenes, as well as the unusual lighting & back ground framing the first film has, that made it so special & stand apart from other horror anthologies of it's kind. Highly recommended to fans, If only we could get more online episodes like this, or at least get another CREEPSHOW film that had the same amount of good acting, directing & special effects, tension, scares & laughs like the first one did! Highly recommended to CREEPSHOW fans!
