‘Bob’s Burgers’ Woos Fans With Live Shows, Fart Songs

16 June 2017 6:04 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

At the 2012 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the stars of “Bob’s Burgers” gathered for a live table read. It was one of the first such public performances for a cast that includes comics Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, and Dan Mintz. Afterward, H. Jon Benjamin — who voices the burger-mongering patriarch of the show’s title — called creator Loren Bouchard.

“He said that it was really fun and that the audience seemed to really like it,” Bouchard says. “I had never heard him express enthusiasm about anything, so I took that as an incredible sign.”

Live shows have since become a regular supplement to a series that, with its eighth season set to premiere this fall, now ranks among broadcast’s longer-running comedies — in the same league as CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” and ABC’s “Modern Family.” The performances, often strung together on national tours, have offered viewers a chance to see stars perform in and »

TV Ratings Report: Is There Hope for Once Upon a Time?

17 April 2017 6:07 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Easter Sunday's ratings aren't the most exciting we've ever seen.

Not only are they padded across networks and timelines by repeats (and deservedly so given the holiday), but CBS spent two hours visiting the musical achievements of the Bee Gees. That might have been a winner.

We'll find out!

On ABC at 7, they had an hour for the kids titled Inside Disneynature: Wild. I'm not sure if Disneynature is different than other nature, but it pulled in a 0.6 with the 18-49 crowd and did marginally better with the 25-54 kids.

(Let me warn you right now. There isn't a single case, ratings-wise, in which the 25-54 crowd didn't outperform all others by at least a tenth, and in some instances (I'm looking at you, Stayin' Alive) over an entire ratings point. The young kids aren't watching TV like they used to.)

American Horror Story Season 7 Adds Billy Eichner to the Cast

28 March 2017 10:42 AM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Viewers have watched him pound the pavement of New York City for years as the host of Funny or Die's Billy on the Street, the high-energy, unpredictable comedic pop culture game show, and now Billy Eichner will spend some time in Ryan Murphy's world, as the actor has joined the cast of American Horror Story Season 7.

Deadline reports the news of Eichner's casting on American Horror Story, revealing that he'll join returning cast members Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, who have played numerous characters in the horror anthology series.

According to Deadline, Eichner will play "a close confidant of Paulson’s character and mostly will be wearing mysterious tank tops."

While official plot details for season 7 are unsurprisingly unknown at this time, American Horror Story co-creator Murphy told Andy Cohen this winter that the new season will start filming in June and is going to "be about the election that we just went through. »
