CBS opted to debut The Good Fight on Sunday night, before sending it to CBS All Access for the rest of its run.

CBS: The Good Fight (7.2 million/0.7 rating) debuted well below The Good Wife's final season average, but if even a fraction of these viewers sign up to CBS All Access to watch the rest, the network will likely be happy.

Fox: The Simpsons (2.5 million/1.1 rating), Son of Zorn (1.6 million/0.7 rating), Family Guy (2.3 million/1.0 rating) and Bob's Burgers (1.9 million/0.9 rating) each added a tenth.

‘The House’ Trailer: Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler Run an Underground Casino (Watch)

16 February 2017 12:38 PM, PST | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler are bringing badassery to suburbia in the first trailer for the New Line comedy “The House,” which has a prime summer release date of June 2, 2017.

Ferrell and Poehler portray parents who lose the money intended to pay for their daughter’s college tuition and open an underground casino out of desperation. Poehler totes a flame-thrower, proclaiming “I feel like such a badass!”

They also wind up telling their alarmed daughter — played by Ryan Simpkins — to keep her nose out of their business. “We love you so much but you need to shut up,” Ferrell tells her.

The trailer concludes with the implication of a cheater getting axed on some undisclosed part of his body after he taunts Ferrell and Poehler by saying, “What are you going to do about it?”

Neighbors” writer Andrew J. Cohen is directing from a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien. »

13 February 2017 8:56 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

It was all about the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

CBS: The Grammy Awards (24 million/7.3 rating) pulled in a strong crowd for the network, down just one tenth vs. the early 2016 numbers.

Fox: Bizarrely, Fox opted to air original installments of The Simpsons (2.5 million/1.0 rating), Son of Zorn (1.4 million/0.6 rating), Family Guy (1.9 million/0.9 rating) and Bob's Burgers (1.7 million/0.8 rating).

As expected, all four comedy series slipped severely.

It seemed silly to waste all of the shows against such huge competition.

ABC: In order to duck the competition, ABC went with The Blind Side (3.9 million/0.9 rating).

NBC: Fast & Furious 6 (2.5 million/0.7 rating) was on the menu for NBC.

Simon Brew Jan 4, 2017

Bad Dads is still on the release roster, but a proper Bad Moms sequel will be with us in ten months' time...

We missed this over Christmas, but it turns out there was some progress with regards the, er, Bad Moms movie universe. Following the success of the first film last summer, with Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn leading Bad Moms to box office glory, Stx announced Bad Dads. This didn’t go down too well, given that the DVD shelves of pretty much any store aren’t shy for films of men behaving badly. Bad Moms actually felt a bit fresh for not going down that path.
