References

Let There Be Light (1946)
There are lines of dialogue directly quoted from this film in The Master.
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
The shot of Lancaster riding his motorcycle and going "Ya-hoo!" mirrors the final shot of "Strangelove" where Slim Pickens rides the bomb.
Barry Lyndon (1975)
The final scene between Freddie, Lancaster, and Peggy is blocked and phtographed very similarly to the scene wherein Captain Potzdorf tells Barry to spy on the Chevalier de Balibari.
Melvin and Howard (1980)
Dodd & Freddie riding the motorcycle is a reference to Hughes riding in the desert
Baraka (1992)
The opening shots of the two movies are very similar. Freddy looks from side to side with a soft-sounding score playing. The music gets more dramatic when Freddy closes his eyes. This is all very similar to the monkey sitting in the hot spring at the beginning of Baraka. Paul Thomas Anderson actually stated that he showed this opening scene to Joaquin Phoenix in preparation for the role
Night at the Museum (2006)
Clark (Rami Malek) calls Freddie "dum-dum" during processing, like the Easter Island-head calls Larry that. Notable since the actor who says it, played the Pharaoh in the other film
