Storyline

"The Price" is a film about people who refuse to settle for less than what they are. It is a story about determination and desire, about not giving up or giving in. It is a story filled with music and comedy, and with the drama of real life. It is a film about "The Price" people must pay to reach their goals. The story is about a young singer from Lithuania and a young singer from the slums of Miami who are fed up with the environments that they each are performing in. They decide to start their own club, where their talents can be appreciated. They also decide to search out other people like themselves to join them in their quest. The problem is they have only $11 between them. They acquire partners; some heroic, some shady, some bumbling, and some downright strange. Written by Matteo A. Cucchiara

Two fired singers accidentally meet and after a few too many decide to open their own club.

A slapstick comedy with great music. Violeta Leskyte Cucchiara plays a wonderful starring role and Sonny Shroyer, Johnny Martino, Carol Haliburton, Iris Lynn Sherman and Dalas Davis also do a great job. Lots of fun and good times. Sometimes a little hokey, but once you feel what the actors are feeling you really can have a good time with this flick. This may be one of Sonny Shroyer's last films. He plays a great role. The dueling saxophones scene, and a world class theme song written, composed and performed by Violeta highlight this film. The guitar opening, also composed by Violeta, alone, is worth going to see the film for. An excellent directing job on a small budget by Ric Lamonte. Well recommended and smiles all around.
