7 March 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In The Preparation,we get to see Justin,Angie,Corkey and SIR meet Yuri, who has a particular disliking for Mary, the sibling of both Martha and Lazarus. Both are competing for menial jobs.

Mary is trying to save money while Yuri needed money to earn a living since his father,Simon is blind.Justin,Angie and Corkey help Yuri convince Mary not to compete for his menial jobs but Mary refuses to do so.Later, they learn that she bought an expensive perfume that cost 300 denarius. When Yuri found out,he tried to steel the jar containing the perfume. But Mary caught her and asked him to give it back.Suddenly, his Simon whipped Yuri and condemned him for stealing. Later,we get to see Mary washes Jesus' feet to honor him when he and his disciples visit their house. Also,we get to see Simon being healed by Simon. At the end,Judas Iscariot was unhappy due to the fact that he reasoned out that the expensive perfume used to honor Jesus could be used to help the poor. But Jesus scolded him by saying that,"The poor will always be with you." This made the disciple upset in the end.

The episode teaches the viewers many lessons. We learn determination from Mary especially when she tries to accept many menial jobs to achieve her goal of buying an expensive perfume. Also,we get to see sincerity in honoring Jesus by washing her feet.Aside from that,we also learn about avoiding stealing from other people regardless of how needy one becomes. Finally,we also realize the importance of worshiping and giving reverence to the Lord.
