The Good Samaritan And The Ungrateful Servant
31 May 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is the first episode of The Flying House wherein Justin and Angie took turns in narrating parables that were told by Jesus to the crowd while teaching them about the Kingdom of God.

The first parable told was The Good Samaritan by Justin. It was a parable about a man who was robbed and left him on the streets severely injured. Two men went by ignoring him.One happens to be a priest and the other happens to be a Levite. The third man who happens to be a Samaritan helped the man and took him to a nearby inn.He paid for the all the expenses and told the innkeeper to take good care of him.

The second parable told was an ungrateful servant by Angie.A shipbuilder happen to have a debt of 10,000 talents to a king. When it was time to pay,he was unable to do so as it was too much for any man to pay.He begged for mercy to the king and asked him to give him more time to be able to pay the debt.In the end,the king forgave him all his debt. Then the shipbuilder went out of the palace and he started charging people who have debts to him at a smaller amounts.Apparently, the people asked for mercy to the shipbuilder but to no avail. He never showed any mercy and placed the people who could not pay in prison. When the king heard of this,he called for the shipbuilder and decided to punish him for not showing mercy to others. He placed the shipbuilder/servant in prison.

The episode taught the viewers lessons on love of neighbor, generosity and forgiveness to others. Also,it thought us about God,who apparently will always be merciful to us as long as we are showing mercy to others. Finally,it was great to hear both Justin and Angie narrate parables and how much lessons they have acquired from it that they were able to impart it very well to the viewers.
