Justin And Angie Narrates Parables
14 February 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In Neighbors, our main characters are in the flying house. They all spend their time together inside the house wherein Justin and Angie took turns in telling parables to everyone narrated by Jesus.

The first story narrated was that of The Good Samaritan by Justin. A Jewish traveler happens to be passing by the road in Jericho is beaten, robbed, and left half dead along the road. First a priest passed by but did not take any action upon seeing the condition of the traveler. Then a Levite came by but both he avoided the man as well just like the priest. Finally, a Samaritan comes by. Despite the fact that the Samaritan was treated harshly by the Jewish traveler earlier as both groups generally despised each other.Surprisingly, the Samaritan helps the injured man and took care of the him.He also sent the him into the inn and paid his bills. The lesson of this parable is about the identity of one's neighbor and how everyone should treat one another in life.

The second story narrated was that of the Ungrateful Servant.Angie narrated the parable to everyone. There was a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. When he had begun to account all his debts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down and knelt before the and asked to have patience with him in order to pay his obligations. The King was moved with compassion that he ordered his released and forgave him the entire debt. But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred Denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, "Pay me what you owe".So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, "Have patience with me, and I will repay you" But the ungrateful servant cast him into prison until he should pay back that which was due. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they came to the King and informed of his actions. Then the King called him in, and said to him, "You ungrateful servant.I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. Shouldn't you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?"The King was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.In the end,Angie told everyone that the lesson of the parable is that God forgives everyone regardless of how grave our sins are and each of us are expected to do the same to our neighbors.

The parables were narrated wonderfully by both Justin and Angie. The intended viewers - young children - will definitely enjoy the parables being told as they are simple to understand. At the same time, the episode provided a great soundtrack as the parables were being told in such a way that they will find it entertaining.
