The official trailer for the upcoming romantic supernatural drama ‘Beautiful Creatures’ has been released. The film, which stars Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann, Zoey Deutch and Alden Ehrenreich, is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2013. ‘Beautiful Creatures,’ which is based on the first novel in the New York Times best-selling series of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is an intense coming-of-age love story set in the small Southern town of Gatlin. The film follows local boy Ethan Wate, played by Ehrenreich, and a mysterious new girl, Lena Duchannes, portrayed by Deutch, who uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town. Jeremy Irons is in final negotiations to join the cast of Beautiful Creatures, Alcon’s adaptation of the young adult novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Irons joins a cast that includes Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann and relative newcomers Jack O’Connell and Alice Englert. Weekend Movie News Wrap Up: December 6, 2009

It’s Sunday and that means that it’s Wrap Up time.

This week:

The box office is Blind Sided; if you go down to the woods today you might see Tom Cavanagh in Yogi Bear; Leonardo DiCaprio knows Jack Frost in The Guardians; Have you ever heard Gun, With Occasional Music? Beautiful Creatures say P.S I Love You; John Madden will Dolittle directing with My Fair Lady and it’s all in the double barrel name as Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman find religion.

Box Office

Sandra Bullock’s The Blind Side just keeps doing better and better. The uplifting sports drama has took the top spot with an impressive $20 million after three weeks on the charts. 2009 has been a great year for Bullock and if Warner Bros. gives the actress the expected Oscar push then 2010 shouldn’t be too bad either.
