Live from Stockton, CA

Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry Lawler

Diesel Vs The British Bulldog (W/Jim Cornette)

Diesel wins thanks to unintentional help from Yokozuna. If you've seen Diesel's match with Bulldog at the In Your House PPV, you should know what to expect from this one, it's pretty boring.

*1/4

Dok Hendrix gives us an In Your House report. Bret Hart comments on his match with Diesel, inside a Steel Cage.

Ostensibly, WCW has threatened legal action over the Billionaire Ted skits. WWE does another skit anyway. This one is a press conference. It's basically a bunch of questions about why WCW is trying to put the WWF out of business.

The Bodydonnas (W/Sunny) Vs The Godwinns (W/Hillbilly Jim)

The Godwinns win after Phineas hits the Slop Drop (Inverted DDT) Thankfully, this was short. WWF's tag team division wasn't exactly on fire at this juncture.

3/4*

Bret Hart faces The Undertaker for the WWF Championship, next week.

Attorney, Clarence Mason threatens Gorilla Monsoon if Vader is not reinstated immediately from his suspension.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is announced as the new WWF President. He'll be filling in for Gorilla Monsoon. Piper says he's Vince's boss, now. Ha! Love it. He claims talent in the back are scared to death over him being president because he's the guy who ruined Jimmy Snuka's career, hurt Cyndi Lauper, and took on New York's finest. He praises the New Generation era for being better, stronger, and faster. He says the fans are in good hands, but the superstars are gonna have to pay the Piper. He picks up Vince and puts him in an airplane spin to end things.

Thoughts: This was a lot of fun. Rowdy has always been a dynamic personality, and he was a perfect choice to take over for Gorilla.

We get a vignette for Mankind

Yokozuna (W/Jim Cornette) Vs Shawn Michaels

Shawn wins with Sweet Chin Music after Owen accidentally nails Yokozuna with a spinning heel kick. This was a fun David Vs Goliath match. Shawn's high-flying offense meshed well with Yokozuna's. Bret Hart and Yokozuna never meshed that well, but Shawn fares better

**1/2

After the match, Yokozuna is angry about Owen Hart costing him the match. The British Bulldog comes in and manages to calm things down between the two. They decide to triple team Shawn until Diesel runs down and helps out Shawn. Cornette challenges Diesel and Shawn to face Yokozuna & The British Bulldog next week on Raw. Shawn and Diesel accept.

Thoughts: They really decided to fill next week's Raw with star power to compete with Nitro. Vince was always at his best when his back was against the wall. Anyways, Shawn Vs Yokozuna was fun, Roddy Piper's appearance was a blast as well. If you have the WWE Network, this episode is well worth a watch.
