Can't we all just get along
safenoe3 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Sure, Mini Bluey isn't for everyone and all, but for me, I'm quite happy with any Bluey episode amidst the depression, drama and derision of the evening news and what's served up with conflict and all. Bluey is a class on its own, and Mini Bluey is no exception, with Bluey and Bingo having lots of fun making each other act alike.

It's great to see Bluey taking off here with Bluey's participation in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade amidst Snoopy, Bart Simpson and other animation icons. Maybe one day there can be a Bluey movie or even a mini-series. I like Bluey and its optimism amidst a world of depression, drama and derision.

The worst Bluey episode
MiniBlueyHater31 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Recently, I was thinking a lot about this episode, or rather one scene from it. In this scene, Bandit destroys Bluey's self esteem and never apologizes or takes accountability for it.

In the scene where Bluey acts like "Big Bingo" Bandit says that he'd rather have another Bingo instead of Bluey. Upon hearing that, Bluey runs away from the room crying, thinking that she isn't wanted in the family. Bandit does absolutely nothing about it and just says "It would be nice having another Bingo" to Chilli.

Bandit never even speaks about this to Bluey. I'm very negatively surprised that a writing decision this irresponsible and out of character for Bandit made it into the episode. This episode makes me worried for the future of the series, I love Bluey and I want the best for this cartoon. I hope that the team behind it will accept the criticism this episode has gotten and never make such an awful mistake again.

Irresponsible episode
SpongeBobSquarepantsFan23 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a huge fan of Bluey and I truly enjoy watching it with my family and even by myself. I've always held Bluey to high standards as the writing and messages are, in my opinion, phenomenal. So I'm not coming here as a Bluey hater at all. I'm here to give constructive criticism and feedback as there are parts of this episode that don't sit right with me.

Unfortunately, I found myself disappointed after watching this episode. 99% of the time, Chili and Bandit handle conflicts and misunderstandings appropriately and are quick to take accountability if they mess up around their kids or towards them. However, in "Mini Bluey", Bandit makes a mistake in letting a hurtful comment slip towards Bluey. Bluey becomes upset and the conflict in this episode is never properly addressed and no apologies are given or implied.

During the course of this episode, Bluey and Bingo colour their fur with "hair chalk" and pretend to be each other. Towards the end of the episode, Bandit announces that he "could definitely get used to two Bingos", and Bluey becomes upset and runs off. This may seem insignificant to adults, but to kids, hurtful comments like this can be damaging and sit with them for life.

The problem with this episode is not solely with what Bandit said to Bluey; its the fact that there is never any apology, follow-up, or closure to the situation. Yes, Bandit did say he wanted one of each child at the end of the episode - that's not enough. He is never shown taking action, accountability or apologizing to his daughter.

In Bluey, almost all of the time the adults are gentle and responsible; and when they make a mistake they are shown taking appropriate action...but not in this episode. Yes, it's important to show the parents watching that no parent is perfect - that's shown through Bandit's mistake in this episode. What people don't seem to understand is that it's just as important to have these adult characters show and model responsible behaviour. In other words, it's okay to mess up around your kid and not be perfect, it's NOT okay to hurt your child's feelings and then refuse to apologize or take accountability. There were also a few derogatory comments said towards Bluey throughout this episode. Then, for the cherry on top, after Bluey runs away crying the parents quietly say to each other how good it is having "two Bingos". I don't know if this is meant to be a joke, but this went too far and in my opinion, it's irresponsible and insensitive writing.

I don't know what people were thinking when they made this episode. Scripts have to go through multiple stages until it gets cleared, and the makers of Bluey seemed to see nothing wrong with this one. Like I said, Bluey is a wonderful show. I truly enjoy watching it and it brings me a lot of joy. This episode brought on major disappointment and I hope the feedback people have given them will be taken seriously.

Rated this one a 3/10 because of the cute characters and humor of the kids looking like each other.

Not really good when you show favoritism over one child
opalpika13288 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The episode "Mini Bluey", was about Bluey and Bingo not being alike, so Bluey decides to make Bingo similar to her, making her "Mini Bluey". Bluey isn't crazy about chores like Bingo, so Mini Bluey acts the same as her. Bandit didn't like that he has two that won't help with chores so he asks for "Double Bingos". Bingo makes Bluey into "Big Bingo", and with Bluey not liking chores, Bingo likes doing chores and being helpful, but when Bandit said, "he can get used to this", this upsets Bluey/Big Bingo. Even Chili kinda agreed about preferring two Bingos, which really isn't fair, and shows favoritism over one child. Bluey is sad because she thinks that her parents want two of Bingo and none of Bluey, and thinks it's because she's annoying. Bingo shows Bluey that she can also be annoying, so she puts on fake teeth with tape and scares Chili and Bandit which makes them want one Bluey and one Bingo, with Mini Bluey and Big Bingo appearing by them.

Yeah, the issue with this episode was how it shown favoritism over one child, "Kids" shown this also, but Bluey, even if she was pretending, learned that she can love both Snowdrop and Dittums, and that there are no favorites in kids. A shame that Bandit (and Chili at one point) would have a favorite in Bingo and not Bluey, which is definitely why many people don't like this episode.
