This a Christmas carol-type story, even though there's dear old St Valentine's Day in the spotlight, not Christmas. Simple? In a way. Deep? Oh, yes... A wonderful little film. I am biased, because I do love Mr. Grace's work. A lot. Such talent! And Annette Badland is one of those actresses that I enjoy watching very much, and Christian Rodska is the kind of actor that makes one wonder why they even bother looking for younger actors, when there's talent already present. But even so... There's a drop of magical realism in "Mr Thornton's Change of Heart". There's more than one drop of beauty. There's good English. There's atmosphere.
