A tragic tale of an ex-heroin homeless man who picked himself up, got clean for two years and had a classy girlfriend....only to be found dead in the alleyway he used to inhabit.
The man apparently had been drugged with heroin, run over slowly by a car and set on fire. It's pretty gruesome and quite a mystery of "why" and "who?"
This is a fairly complicated story and the explanation at the end isn't easy to digest, either. You have to really be paying attention to find out how this crime was all planned out.
There is another nice postscript to this story as we see the CSI team - or least four of them - dressed as elves helping Santa Claus deliver presents to needy kids.
