The Wrap is reporting Will Smith is in early talks to star in Brilliance for Nigerian-born director Julius Onah (God Particle, Big Man) with script from David Koepp (Premium Rush, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit). amz asin="B00AESRRQS" size="small"Koepp adapted the film from Marcus Sakey's book of the same name, described as follows: In Wyoming, a little girl reads people's darkest secrets by the way they fold their arms. In New York, a man sensing patterns in the stock market racks up $300 billion. In Chicago, a woman can go invisible by being where no one is looking. They're called "brilliants," and since 1980, one percent of people have been born this way. Nick Cooper is among them; a federal agent, Cooper has gifts rendering him exceptional at hunting terrorists. His latest target may be the most dangerous man alive, a brilliant drenched in blood and intent on provoking civil war. »

A creepy new poster has been released for Sundance contender Cold In July.
Adapted from the novel written by Joe R. Lansdale and directed by Jim Mickle (We Are What We Are), the film stars Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Sam Shepard (August: Osage County), Don Johnson (Django Unchained), Vinessa Shaw (Side Effects), Wyatt Russell (We Are What We Are) and Nick Damici (Premium Rush). Set in Texas in the 1980s, the film focuses on two fathers who must reconcile their differences to uncover a dark truth and take revenge.
Described as featuring ‘guns, stakeouts, an ex-con, a private eye, a porn ring, a shootout’, this is bound to be full of violence from beginning to end. With the poster lacking any plot detail (although it fits perfectly within the noir genre), we’ll have to wait and see what surprises Mickle has in store.
