Love these guys & their show
sysgoddess17 October 2021
They're both humourous & seem to work well together and I enjoy seeing snippets of their family and home lives. The pace moves at a.good speed as they share the progress of their projects from start to finish. My only wish would be to see even more of the work being done.

Looked forward@ disappointed.

What made Boise Boys so enjoyable is gone.

There is no spontaneity; it's very contrived, manipulatative of viewers, and scripted. BAD production and BAD direction.

There's none of the fun, light, warm energy. And, very little of the process - from excited vision, through renovation and design, to staging an open house.

Luke seems particularly annoyed and/or angry. He seems constrained, which would be the BAD director. We're not seeing & hearing the process.

Stories are forced & viewers' emotions are manipulated with stupidly simplistic hard luck stories.

This is a step backward. I hope they correct course, but this 1st season is likely already in the can.

I hope they make the corrections (incl producer & director) that need to be made.

Waste of air time

Warning: Spoilers
This show is not a home reno/design show. They spend more time on badly scripted nonsense that neither man can pull off convincingly. Not to mention the one guy, Luke, is just nasty and mean all the time. And does he really think he should only put what HE likes in SOMEONE ELSE'S home? What a condescending a$$!!

Poor Clint cannot pull off scripting. Let him be naturally goofy and maybe it would work, because he's SO bad at acting. And he can't stop looking at the camera.

Bottom line, I just don't like this show at all. Fast-forwarding thru most of it to see what they did at the end, is not something I generally do.

And in my opinion, the very first episode, the kitchen the lady had designed before the reno looked WAY better than what Luke did. All that matte black subway tile and white shaker cabinets; just plain. The granite the husband picked out was very nice, but the rest had no life. She had beautiful wallpaper and a mix of eclectic designs that worked. His was just blah.

Meh.

I really liked the Boise Boys show. The guys were natural and a lot of fun. With this show, some of that is gone. The interaction between the two is not nearly as spontaneous, seems a lot more scripted, and not in a good way. In some cases, the clearly contrived scenes were cringe worthy.

I'm not as impressed with their designs this time, either, especially the decor. There were a couple of places in which I'd have to rearrange furniture, replace some ugly lighting, etc., and in another couple, I don't think the result was much better than what they had started with. Renovating homes to sell isn't the same as renovating for an owner, and they were better when they were doing their own thing.

Overall, when they were doing Boise Boys, everything from their designs to their interactions flowed better. Hoping for a better 2nd season as I just wasn't very interested during season 1.

Outgrown is done...

Warning: Spoilers
I really liked Boise Boys, but on Outgrown, Clint has a nasty edge that is NOT pleasant and Luke is just silly most of the time.

This must be the end of their collaboration - the friendly feeling between them is GONE and now, it's all too contrived and not interesting or enjoyable to watch.

And all that BLACK paint everywhere - ugh. Luke has totally lost the design plot with that.

HGTV - cancel this one and replace it with people who actually enjoy working together. These two obviously don't anymore.
