The producers had trouble finding a red door for production. They discussed alternatives including hanging a wreath on both doors, using the same apartment number for both, and wrapping both doors in red paper. Luckily, they stumbled across "The Red Door Store," a store known for the titular door, and the owners were kind enough to let them use the location.
