A Stylized, Vibrant Alice -- Not For the Traditional Fan
gavin69425 March 2010
Jayme Langford, a bioethicist and actress, plays Alice... yes, that Alice. With her, her friend Dinah, and the White Hair, a very mysterious character. What happens when they take the glowing, blue pill?

Traditional fans won't find the Alice they know and love. This is an even farther departure than American McGee's version, which actually makes sense in a twisted sort of way. Not to say this doesn't make sense, but it is not Alice cut from the same cloth. This is Alice with a drop of acid and a techno, Radiohead-fueled soundtrack.

If you like the strong visuals of glowing pills, angles that accent a car's travels, and a claustrophobic (yet very beautiful) scene of a captive in a dungeon, this is for you. At fifteen minutes, the viewer has little time to meet the characters, but you know all you really need to: like Alice, you are transported to a world of the unknown where every twist and turn could be leading you to anywhere.

Weird, dark, subversive and aesthetically titillating. Take a few minutes out of your day and catch this one.
