To be honest, I enjoyed it!

Lumberjack Match

Thomas Rich (W/Alexandra York) Vs Big Josh

Big Josh wins with a sit-down splash after Terry Taylor trips Rich. This match wasn't very good to say the least. It was semi-watchable, but I had very little interest in it.

*1/2 out of 5

Bobby Eaton Vs Firebreaker Chip

Eaton wins after a back suplex with a bridge. This was actually a fun little match! It was fast-paced with several exciting near- falls. I didn't care about this match going in and left pleasantly surprised.

**1/2 out of 5

Sting receives Madusa as his surprise. It turns out to be a setup for Lex Luger to damage Sting's reconstructive knee.

Television Title

'Stunning' Steve Austin (W/Lady Blossom) Vs P.N News

Austin wins with his feet on the ropes. Austin tried his best, but this was a sloppy mess from the outset. News was awful. Even JR was dumbfounded.

* out of 5

Cactus Jack Vs Van Hammer

Cactus wins after he nails Van Hammer in the throat with a guitar. This was a pretty standard early Cactus match. Cactus did all he could to carry Van Hammer.

Tag Team Titles

Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko (C) Vs Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes

Barry Windham can't compete. Somebody dressed up as a lizard comes out. It's...RICKY STEAMBOAT!!! Steamboat and Rhodes win the tagteam titles in an excellent match. This was as technically sound as it gets. Exciting, consistent, and a hot crowd. Can't ask for much more.

***1/2 out of 5

Eric Bischoff and Jim Ross apprise Sting of the dire situation he's in. If he doesn't make it back into the arena in time, he has to forfeit the title to Rick Rude. Sting commandeers an ambulance (off camera) Nice going, dummies. Would have been better if you actually FILMED it.

Light Heavyweight Title

Brian Pillman (C) Vs Johnny B. Badd

Pillman wins after Teddy Long costs Badd the match. Badd turns face after the match by decking Teddy Long with a right hook. The match was sloppy as hell. Watchable, but very, very sloppy.

United States Title

Sting (C) Vs Rick Rude

Sting drives in an ambulance and heads to the ring. Rude wins the title by cheating and taking advantage of Sting's injured leg. This was GREAT storytelling. Sting looked resilient and like a warrior for almost overcoming the odds and battling on one leg. It only lasted a little while, but i loved it.

Rick Rude says nice guys finish last. Ain't that the truth. Ron Simmons issues a challenge to the winner of Luger and Rick Steiner.

World Heavyweight Title

Lex Luger (C) Vs Rick Steiner

Luger retains after nailing Rick with the belt. This was an above average main event. It was nothing special, but it kept me fairly entertained and that's all you can ask for, really. Rick Steiner looked like a beast.

Overall, I enjoyed this Clash of the Champions. After quite a few crappy clashes in a row, they finally produced a good one. See it if you can! It's on the WWE Network.
