Good series finale
24 December 2009 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

After a very unpromising start this series came to a surprisingly tense finale which left me hoping for a second series. Once again there is another set of pictures, this time they appear to be far more personal with one of them appearing in photograph holding a submachine-gun and what may me another's child lying dead from bullet wounds. While DI Flint and DS Holt are busy trying to prevent a tragedy in a school DC Gada has taken the death of Sonia the hairdresser badly and is driven to take drastic measures to prevent the man he thinks killed her from striking again.

After a school boy has been murdered a local teacher has started a campaign to persuade people to make a stand against the gang everybody believes is responsible, this leads him being targeted by the gang, one of whom access to his criminal father's gun. As time begins to run out Flint, Dr. King, the teacher and the boy converge on the room where the photograph of the shooting took place, the question is; can they prevent the children being shot and if so what will the cost be?

Given that there is a cliff hanger ending and the mystery of the source of the photograph is unsolved I assume a second series was intended when this was made, I hope that series happens or if not we at least get a special that wraps up the loose ends.
