AMOS: The Prophet of Righteousness!
offempspec24 October 2018
When the great Gage Clark as the family's minster comes to the farm to try to collect a $25.00 pledge from Amos, he finds the crafty old guy trying to get out of it! He made the pledge when apples were selling in a boom market but that was then.

When it was obvious the McCoys could not make the pledge, Gage talks Amos into teaching Sunday School. Considering Mr. McCoy is a poor dirt farmer from West Virginia who never learned how to read, Amos tried his best to get out of the deal.

The 67 year-old tries every thing he can to get out of it, even saying he didn't know which day Sunday School was held!

When he did lead the first class, the kids were bored and one boy tried to give the new mentor a hard time-and you know that didn't last long!

Of course, trying to get out of it and stumbling at first didn't work, so the sly old fox shows and gives a great recounting of Bible stories than not only mesmerize the kids, but stop adult parishioners who huddle at the door!

Watching Amos wind up David's sling to toss at Goliath really got the point across! Gage talks Amos into teaching it full time.

Kate is recouperating in bed and Luke has a pretty Nordic blonde helping out so there's some eye candy.

This is one of these episodes that seem to end too quick.
