Lucy cannot bring herself to kill Mitchell and tells Kemp, whose hatred of vampires is seen to stem from the fact that a trio of them killed his family when he was a young vicar in 1972. George starts to make a home with Sam but Molly discerns he has a secret. Annie strays into an old theatre and sees Alan Cortez, a washed-up medium who has lost his psychic powers. She assembles a team of ghosts to tell their loved ones the truth - which also enables the ghosts to pass over. She is amazed to see her mother, Carmen, in the audience and allows Carmen to achieve closure by knowing that her daughter wants her to stop grieving. Acting on information from a reluctant Lucy, Kemp dynamites the mortuary in which Mitchell and the other vampires are meeting. Written by don @ minifie-1

In the first series, Annie's grave is shown near the edge of the graveyard under a tree; however, when her grave is shown in this episode, it is in the center of the graveyard and the tree has gone. The wording on the gravestone itself is also different and a flowered etching has been added above Annie's name. See more »

Possible parting
17 February 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

It looks like the three supernatural friends may splitting up at last as George is off looking at houses with his girlfriend, Mitchell is getting closer to Lucy and in this episode Annie decides to go to see a spiritualist. It seems like he is just a fraud and during his show Annie starts to heckle till she is thrown out by a ghostly usherette ho tells her that the spiritualist used to be genuine but for some reason has stopped listening to the ghosts. When Annie goes to see him it becomes apparent that he can still hear her, he explains how he lost his skill and she offers to act as an interpretor between him and other ghosts in his show. Meanwhile Mitchell has decided to give up leading the vampires and has called them all together to pass on the leadership to Ivan, unfortunately Mitchell's girlfriend Lucy has passed details of the meeting to Kemp who intends to see that no vampire gets out alive.

This was a good episode with both drama and comedy. It was good to learn why Kemp has such a deep hatred of vampires and believes them to be irredeemably evil. The biggest laugh when George tries to get out of going to a parents day which unfortunately happens at his time of the month... not wishing to confess to being a werewolf he makes up a story which is utterly unbelievable, Sam seems to buy it but daughter Molly sees right through the story. Annie's story is fairly touching especially when she communicates with her mother.
