Trivia

A recurring theme in the Metal Gear series is to show the danger of pursuing something at the cost of everything else. This is present in the game, as Dr. Strangelove is shown to idolize The Boss so much, that she agrees to develop the mammal pod in an attempt to resurrect The Boss, even though it will directly lead to a nuclear attack. Goofs

Solid Snake was played a tape recording from a Walkman TPS-L2, Sony's first ever personal cassette player that was released in 1979, five years after the setting of the story. See more »

Quotes

Huey Emmerich: You're an agent, right? Who do you work for?
Naked Snake: Me? I was a Cold War tool... same as you. Now I'm not so useful anymore, so they cut me loose... I don't answer to anyone. Call me Snake.
Huey Emmerich: Snake... that name sounds familiar somehow.
Naked Snake: Probably just deja vu.

Crazy Credits

There are two post-credit conversations in the game. The first is between Snake and Miller, where Snake explains that he feels that The Boss betrayed him because she put down her gun and rejected everything in her life up to that point, including him. Snake then proclaims that he'll never do that and finally accepts the title of Big Boss. The second post-credit scene is Snake giving a speech to all of his men at Mother Base, declaring them as Outer Heaven. See more »

This beautiful addition to the MGS series is without doubt one to shine...
28 June 2010 | by (Egypt) – See all my reviews

We've been living with the MGS series for quite sometime now and we were intrigued to find out the story behind Big Boss and the cold war. We played MGS 3 but it wasn't enough, we wanted more, and after the direct and simple MGS Portable Ops, we still wanted more...

Now here comes Peace Walker with full glory in everything. Expect the highest graphics for the PSP, Beautifully shaded and built environments and consistent frame-rate. You'll manage an entire army and this time around you get to recruit people to your base using the Fulton Recovery System which uses a hot-air balloon with the help of a chopper to send the soldiers back to the base (A HUGE improvement from the usual dragging of Portable Ops by the way)...

I won't say much cause then I'd be spoiling a major one and a special one to play, but know this. If you don't get Peace Walker right now (fan of the series or not) you'd be missing one hell of an experience on the go...
