7 January 2016 1:25 PM, PST | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Funimation and Sony have partnered up to release a new streaming service called FunimationNow. Find out more information, including price, below.

Among the many gems at CES 2016, Funimation and Sony have unveiled the fruits from their latest partnership, FunimationNow.  Utilizing Sony's Ven.ue platform, Funimation will now have its own ad-free streaming service, comparable to Netflix.

Beginning in February, anime fans will be able to download the FunimationNow app on their smartphone, tablet, or streaming device (Amazon Fire TV).  Although, it isn't said outright in the PR, we can connect the dots that it will also be available on the Playstation Network.

Included in the FunimationNow app is the extensive library of anime entertainment, which includes over 400 titles like Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, One Piece, among others.  Users will also have the option of viewing these titles in Japanese with subtitles or dubbed in English, if available. »
