Storyline

Lisa becomes livid with Miss Hoover, and in a series of homages to classic Hitchcock sets out for deadly revenge. Next, Krusty's latest fast-food sandwich transforms news anchor Kent Brockman into an enraged zombie and twenty-eight days later, cannibal zombies have overrun Springfield. In the final frightening fable, Homer accidentally falls through a trapdoor in Moe's tavern and impales himself on the pipes of Moe's microbrewery. Moe serves the barflies a glass of delicious beer flavored with Homer's blood and Homer, now half-man, half-brewing apparatus, returns for vengeance. Written by Fox Publicity

Goofs

Marge asks, "what kind of civilized people eat the body and blood of their savior?" Cut to Rev. Lovejoy, who becomes uncomfortable as the punchline of this jab, apparently as one who believes this. Reverend Lovejoy is a Protestant, not a Catholic, and thus would not believe that the bread and wine of Christian communion are anything more than reminders of the ultimate atoning sacrifice of Christ (See 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Catholics and E. Orthodox traditions tend to be the proponents of transubstantiation, believing the bread and wine actually become Christ's flesh and blood. This is a 12th century idea not found in scripture, thus would not be believed by Rev. Lovejoy. See more »

Not the Finest Halloween Special but they Never Fail to Entertain,
14 October 2014 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Treehouse of Horror XX is a great Simpsons episode with three very well written story lines. It is honestly one of the weakest Halloween specials to date in my honest opinion, but I always thoroughly enjoy these episodes and this one is no exception. My favourite segment is certainly Don't Have a Cow,Mankind,it was a very clever take on zombie films,I also really enjoyed There's No Business Like Moe Business which was a very funny fake musical, but the first segment was certainly the weakest and was a bit too dark for Simpsons standards.Treehouse of Horror XX is a very enjoyable Simpsons episode.

In the series twentieth annual Halloween special,Bart and Lisa agree to help each other get revenge on their teachers,a zombie apocalypse starts in Springfield and Moe tries to win Marge's heart by convincing her Homer has left her.

If you have any recommendations on films/TV series I should watch or review,or any questions to ask me,just tweet me @DillonTheHarris
